When you travel place to place, cards like Visa & Mastercard (+million their sub brands V Pay, Visa
Electron, Maestro....) have been accepted. But if you are American who travel to Europe your old rusty
MG card just won't work because ticket machine reads only
Chip cards . Also
PIN are used
on world 'sign' transactions. So if your American banks lie than PIN aren't needed or Chip Card are
waste of money think again. When Europe moved to Chip cards card copying stopped over 90%.
How get Chip&PIN if local bank won't like move forward Chip & PIN time and you 100% need it
on your European/ Asian trip ?
Prepaid cards like Skrill is answer, just remember choose your base currency right because currency
conversion cost may be high if it on every transactions. Even US cards readers has Chip reader but store perhaps won't use them because infra is so OLD. Some Skrill cards *HAS* MG stripe, and some not. Card body is black, so if stripe is there is or not on normal place.
